We’re looking for Logistics Coordinator for Aggreko's Africa region, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end logistics operations to ensure efficient movement, customs clearance, and delivery of equipment and materials.

Role Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator, You will work closely with internal teams, external clearing agents, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to maintain compliance with local regulations and Aggreko's service standards. The logistics Coordinator will be reporting to Africa Logistics Manager.
What you’ll do:
Coordinate and oversee all logistics activities related to the movements of consumables and fleets from origin to destination countries, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Plan and schedule shipments, monitor delivery timelines, and resolve any logistical issues that arise.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, clients where they are responsible and transport companies to ensure smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
Manage import/export documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations in countries within southern and east Africa.
Track and report on shipment status, inventory levels, and logistics performance metrics.
Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to forecast logistics needs and optimize supply chain efficiency through optimized inventory level, improved lead times and cost savings
Monitor and adjust KPIs based on clients and business needs with LSP on a monthly/Quarterly basis, use them as main performance improvement tool a implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate records of documentation for audits and logistics activities and prepare regular reports and continuous improvement initiatives to management.
Handle invoicing and payment processes related to logistics services, ensuring timely payments and resolution of any discrepancies.
Stay updated on regional logistics challenges such as port congestion, customs changes, and regulatory updates, and proactively mitigate risks.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all logistics operations.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in logistics coordination, preferably with exposure to the whole Africa region and in the energy or equipment rental sector.
knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and freight forwarding with Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in logistics software such as TMS Cargowise and Microsoft Office Suite as Excel and Power BI.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages such as Arabic and French is an advantage.
